classic Asian Elders mentality, they can bully the branch families and they can't fight back, the moment they fight back that's when the entire branch family get exterminate for daring to not only fight back but also win, even if it was only an "exhibition"
that's make me more firm in my claim that the Viscount's arm getting cut off and in the previous life the entire family getting exterminate was all part of Roderick & the Elders plan to take over the Kingdom
they don't want somebody that was able to go against the Main Family to live, because to them it's proof that he wasn't tamed into submission (that's what they means when they speak about "manners") they mistake "Respect" for "Submission"
the MC showing the 7-Wings is gonna cause big trouble, because they will try to either force the MC to join the Main Family to "break & tame" him to work for them like a tool, or some of them will try to steal his power like Roderick did in the previous life
