Qingqing went back to modern world without seeing them turn to human. She left all her kids in the beast world including Anan being left with the mermaid. I stopped reading the novel before where Anan was adult. She was brought to the sea but had to go back to land, there she reunited with the cubs, but they were still in leopard form.
