No just no. I can't believe they even changed this part . In the novel except of killeon everyone was still had their doubts about Edith. She completely gave up on her life and went there just to see killeon one last time and she wanted to die in his hand. Though they did leave her from being executed but she was thrown into the dungeon. Only her husband was on her side

@Hakutou I think the author can still do this, but instead of being thrown in a dungeon, maybe Edith is brough back to the house with Killian. And at some point when she is alone Judith will come and harm herself while trying to frame Edith, but this time with everything that has happened and her influence as the author being completely gone now everyone will actually start to question rather or not it's true. Killian like in the novel will stand up for her and still ultimately decide to leave the house. Making this part atleast come back in full circle.
