So its kinda complicated....but basically suradel was an ancient dragon sealed in a glacier by his parents to protect him, and lias egg was unintentionally trapped in the glacier with him for centuries. The egg absorbed his mana and basically synced with him. After he got out of the glacier he was alone (knew nothing about the egg) and tried to find companionship for hundreds of years but every being was afraid of him. So he tried summoning a soulmate from another world but he thought it had failed. Turns out thats how lia transmigrated from korea to the egg. Then her "dad" found the egg because he was researching how to hatch ancient eggs and after years of trying she hatched, which is why the dad was so happy when she hatched and so attached to her. So yeah in short lia is physically made to be with him as well as her soul is the perfect companion for him.
