Idk if this is ever getting uploaded in English so here's a summary of this chapter for y'all.
Hesha enters the bakery, exhausted and irritated. Qiao Lin (Jolene I think is what they call her in the localization now) asks if she had a fight with her family, and Hesha agrees, offering the cake she just bought as payment if Qiao Lin keeps her company and let's her vent.
Qiao Lin refuses, saying that she won't take the "job", but if Hesha wants a friend to talk to then she'll happily oblige. Hesha gets flustered over the idea of being friends and then talks about her father wanting her to stop seeing Qiao Lin. She uses a phrase similar to "quit/let go" and Qiao Lin wonders what Hesha could have said to make Heshas father think she was dependent on Qiao Lin. Hesha basically says "I just told him you were principled and helpful, I don't know why he thinks we're too close "
Hesha then goes on to say the tutoring will stop, which upsets Qiao Lin, and Qiao Lin demands to know why. Hesha explains that she's worked hard to create the business proposals she's worked on and doesn't want her father to get in the way. She then implies ending their tutoring relationship is a good thing because then Qiao Lin won't be seen as someone who "sells herself for money" like her father thinks. She claims her and Qiao Lin can then have a pure and untainted friendship.
Qiao Lin does NOT take this well, especially with the implication of prostitution, and replies that she's more than willing to have a dirty/unclean relationship with Hesha, seemingly alluding to their ambiguous activities like kissing, causing Hesha to react how she does at the end
