Ok i rember someone was telling a story about their worklife in Japan . The guy arrived 15 mins late and apparently his co-workers didnt talk to him , he workerd overtime , and his manager said he was going to mark him absent for coming late. ( FYI the comment section were saying similar things , so i think it was a credible source.) So ig the mc atttiute makes sense.
