Buttttt, before you turn into the judging intolerant "red flag" dìck I can see you can be, here are a few reasons why you need to give the ML some slack
1...the man who saw the love of his life and guide get half of his chest blown up.
2... he is now experiencing years of power without guidance because he does not want to be with anyone else (he's very loyal)
3... the man has lived the pain and disappointment of many AHs pretending to be his guide reincarnated.
