I think this has happened before, probably past life (reincarnation) or they died and went back few years to start over and now the alpha wants to treat the omega good than before, I think he was a red flag before and the omegas nightmares are the past memories of what had happened between him and his alpha, but he doesn't know it yet cause only the alpha remembers clearly.
