@Baek Cirrus Baro already done the "backstabbing" in previous chapters to get what was needed. He understands what he's getting into and it will probably be shown later he spoke to Kouichi during the attack.
Caius on the other hand has let others take front and center for  things Caius has done. He's allowed the other guy to wreck havoc even though caius could have at any time upped his game. As his sister said he's gone soft he's reactive not proactive like Baro who jumped in with his life on the line from both sides.
