For example, if you want to work at walmart, apply to every walmart that is near you
I have an "walmart career" account and from what i experience, you just need a previous job experience, no need for resume
Second, if this is like your first job while at highschool, dont make a fuc**** resume, they dont even look at your resume I wasted 3hrs making mine just for them to not be read
3rd, have a good volunteer with customer service or the role you want to be in (Resume is fine but when i got my first job, they just use the "resume volunteer experience " section to think of a question to ask you about it but that is it)
4th, have a lot of time, if you have finish school or not busy, tell them or put it in the site that you are available everyday(if you have an important things to do like an appointment, tell them since those are only one day and they dont mind since it is only one day)
5th, go apply to the location near you that really needs workers, trust me, this is how i got accepted because the place was low on staff
(P.s., you can do a resume but dont trust me on the resume part, this is just from my experience)
Last things but not least : - You may want to blend in so don't forcibly expose yourself as unconventional. Such things can/should be done on off hours (aka privacy). - Don't go unprepared : have a bank account ready etc. Show responsible, because so is the core of all jobs : reponsability, aka professionalism. - For an entry-level job, don't whine about the conditions being far from ideal : that a first exprience, that's why you won't be given jobs requiring to be already apt, which are also more interesting since you already know what belonging to workforces means. You first need to learn the basic of professional life before dreaming big. It doesn't need to be life-long (as implied in "entry-level job") but you still need to learn the basics. - Also needed : a reason to work. Can be as simple as " to eat, pay my bills and get a home" or "I need money for my hobby" or even "I want to have a first exprience at working", can be as big as "this is my dream job" or "I wish to contribute to this domain/company". Just be sincere if asked.
@gackt_chan spacerThis honestly depends on your current state in life, but I'm going to assume you're new to the job field. This also depends whether you're going for a specialized job (where you need a degree) or whether it's a non-specialized job so I'll go for general specialization. One thing that most employers aim for is…experience. Now, this goes to the age-old complaint…well I need this job to get experience in order to get a job. But, this doesn't mean that getting a job is a dead end. spacer- Internships: Getting an internship allows you to learn hands-on material. Depending on the internship, you can also get paid. This internship not only provides you with experience, but also can lead to a recommendation from the leader of said internship.
spacer- Certification: Gaining a certification (Basically a certificate that confirms certain skills) is also a way to gain experience. For example, in the tech field, showing that you specialize in the utilization of certain…technical skills and models can lead to a favorable position.
spacer- Application to entry-level positions: Some entry-level positions can lead to on-the-job training and mentoring. It allows you to gain hands-on experience and make good impressions.
spacer- Connections: I'm not saying nepotism, btw. Building connections surprisingly is a way a lot of people get jobs. Often, when positions are opened, many employers first ask employees whether they have a recommendation. By building credibility with people, you may be able to land yourself a job. But be careful, if you make a mistake it also marks poorly on the recommender.
spacer- Emphasize soft skills: This may not be the most helpful in the review, but makes a good impression with interviewers (as long as you don't drag along). Emphasizing skills that aren't necessarily specialized for the job field is basically what a soft skill is. Like, for example, your determination or drive shows your good work ethic or whatever.
spacer- Start/Highlight personal projects: Plug something! (Related of course!) If you're in tech, show your amazing website or code. Show something that shows your own interest/accomplishment.
All things aside, I hope you get that job. Good luck and happy job hunting!
