Come to think of it Gaspal is a bit dumb. There must've been things he could've done to change his situation. Learn summoning for one thing. If his summoning is weak or it's too slow 🤷 he could have set up an accident or made it look like he was poisoned and he lost his manna or skills or something and is slowly regaining it (by actually learning summoning)
