Question of the Day: Is there a story (comic, manga, manhua, manhwa or webtoon) that you enjoyed and ended up enjoying the story in another medium (for example: animated series or game). Or was there a story that you got into because of an anime or other medium?
Note: No answer shall be judged or mocked by me and if you have the opposite experience, feel free to share.
FMA, would probably never read or watch it, if not for some ansty bl dj. Ended up watching both FMA and FMA: brotherhood.
Love of kill, watched half episode of it, dropped because it looked like some silly romcom and mc was getting on my nerves. Came across the manga, fell in love with the story, rewatched the anime. Can't wait for manga continuation.
Ranma 1/2: although it was the other way around, I first watched the anime and then got interested in the manga 😁. InuYasha: Both the manga and the anime are perfect. Vampire Knights: but I was disappointed with the anime, I found the animation too rigid
Thank you everyone who shared. For me, I got into YuGiOh because of the anime and from there tried all the games I could get because I enjoyed the mind games in the series. There were a couple of games where the player could play the duels in the series, and after realizing how impractical some of the duels were in the series, it helped me realize the heart of the cards was basically plot armor for the protagonist (though I did have quite a few heart of the cards moments myself, and many where the cards said not today)
