How does that greatsword don't cut off that guy head. It's too heavy and sharp enough to cut like regular sword. he's putting it in his shoulder with ease which should cut off his head if gone wrong. This logic is what I don't understand about greatsword in manhwas as most greatsword users in manhwas put in it shoulder like that.

@Book might take some waight with wrist strength and the armour takes the rest but I don't know this is all just fantasy but this is the most logical awnser I can give.

@Book sword sharpness near the handle aren't good as it's top part and great sword kill with strength not sharpness

But the enemies being killed with it looks like their head are being cut by Sharp sword not heavy sword and it doesn't make sense for a sword to be sharpless
@Book the simple answer is that there is no historical basis for a sword that large. The largest of great swords weighed around 20 lb (9 kg). Any larger and they were not martially viable. Swords as large as the one that dude uses would be so unwieldy and slow that their only likely purpose would be ceremonial or as decoration. So IRL, this wasnt a problem.

The way these swords cut is not through their mass, but through leverage that the two hands give and momentum. They're intended to be swung in large loops which keep the sword moving w/o starting and stopping often. Big a** swords just can't be kept moving like that and would fatigue the user quickly
