We know that by the conversation between Jinjin and Ah Yuan: Jinjin says he knew he was in a hallucination because he didn't see the hole he'd dug in the heavenly prison in the hallucination.

P.s. I'm sorry for making it more confusing but all in all, in this arc, Jinjin was pulled into a hallucination but he's free now.
