i have so many theories but the one i like the most is that this all, literally all we see is fake and staged.

Like the other factions don't exist the way he has been told? Like his "empire" is actually just the clean up crew for other nations?
They are introduced as enemies for the sake of giving the "cadets" more of an edge?
Or do you mean like the "Truman-show" where he is actually the only "real" component around him and everything else is just smoke a mirrors for the sake of shaping him into a pinnacle killing machine?
