@PumpkinSeason she's an ancient witch and Blondie is regular human in high position (she's dukes daughter). I doubt that Blondie is anything more then a tool and a toy for the witch. She's beyond jaded.
And I'm concerned that Blondie might be mind broken beyond recovery. You know ancient magic and stuff. 
Also witch managed to temporary mind control crown prince who's powered up with his demon blood, so regular human should be a piece of cake.
