@Claire because it wasn't selling and he felt bad. He wasn't suppose to know that he bought all the food.

@Shhmanduh but that's even worse. Keeping things from your partner is not healthy and humiliating. Also, it's part of life that you don't always succeed. This is why I don't like rich MLs, because they solve all the relationship problems with money.
