I mean it's late now but it was the demonic sect master-young 'justice' master arc, where Kris was the latter. The demonic master had kidnapped the girl, who was obsessed with Kris, so he approached the lord and then they fell in love instead. There was also an annoying stepsister who had framed the girl/og fl but got her karma in the initial storyline
