@WangXian or the anime 'mo dao zu shi' as it's a lot more accurate and in comparison. or both of them. typing this here for future ref, in case anyone sees this. but honestly, the best no.1 ultimate is just to read the original novel.

@cider tbh, reading the novel first before the series, donghua or manhua is better. You miss no information. There's a lot that's not said or depicted in the anime, manga and the untamed.
