Soon after, Shu Yi discovers that Yuling has been spreading false rumors about her relationship, saying she is dating an older man for benefits. Angry and hurt, Shu Yi confronts Xu Yuling directly. She shows proof of the rumors and calls her out for copying work and trying to ruin her reputation. Xu Yuling panics and tries to escape, but in the process, the door slams on Shu Yi’s fingers, causing a painful injury. Shu Yi goes to the hospital, where the doctor says her fingers will heal but need care. Though the injury is not serious, it hurts a lot and affects her mood. She later reports the situation to her boss and demands a proper explanation for the rumors. 

After that, she leaves work early because she feels upset and uncomfortable around her colleagues. Instead of going home, Shu Yi goes to Shi Yan’s office. When he sees her injured hand, he becomes worried and gently checks on her. Shu Yi acts pitiful and asks him to take care of her, saying she can’t do anything with her injured hand. Shi Yan patiently agrees to everything she asks, even when her requests become exaggerated and playful. In the end, Shi Yan seriously suggests that Shu Yi move in with him so he can take care of her properly. Shu Yi is shocked by this sudden suggestion, not expecting him to say something so direct.

Shi Yan gives shuyi a bracelet as gift for the missed Valentine's day and the she says only for the Valentine's day? While she is thinking of the ruined new year, Shi Yan assumes something else and the next day Shuyi is flooded with gifts and when asks him why this number of gifts, he tells, for every Valentine's day since she turned 18 and that he doest date minors.
