Am i the only one that wants that city to reap what it has sown they murdered their own saint burning her alive (1 of the top 5 most agonizing ways to die) and the only reason their "sorry" and "regret it" is because their the ones that are screwed now

Well... they are not going to tell the church about the saint being still alive as a way to protect her. I'll bet after they get rid of all the corrupt priests and the demons are not actively hunting the saint. And beside, the saint does not need to be at the church to have these divine oracle. Whenever the Goddess sends a message, they can always relay it to the faction whenever. So, the saint will stay as part of Sora and the people will always have the guilt of how they killed the saint. Also, when the saint does return, it can be said the Goddess's miracle that brought her back.
@tushan While I agree in principle it was the church members and maybe a few hundred people shown who came to watch the burning, out of a city of tens of thousands.
