He is in the past because of the artifact. He has to save the green haired lady to get the artifact to follow him.
But who is that other girl?
If you mean the demon girl she is the one who killed the MCs clone few chapters ago with the purple flame.
She is also currently invading the MCs world with the demon clan. She needs the artifact to defend against them.
