In the case of the guys acted by themselves without warning TJ about that (thank you for the correction) and if Ian is on his way to confront TJ about it, baby Jo will be more in danger because TJ will know about him... I'm sure that TJ tracks Ian and he is aware that there's someone more "important" than a one-night stand but he hasn't seen Jo yet ( or I can't remember)...

In chapter 9 Tj was in his car spying on Ian like the creep that he is and saw Ian chatting all friendly with Jo (they were discussing going stargazing together). Tj said to Chiwon "This guy really pis*** me off for some reason". He noticed that Jo wasn't just a hookup. He also had pictures of Jo on his desk.
How could I forgot about all these details ?! But yeah he's a real cree
