You know that life lesson from the dad is so terribly flawed, but on top of that it's bizarre MC even ended up becoming such an authority hater with that kind of upbringing.

Good guys holding bad guys back, are just another kind of bad guys asserting dominance and consolidating hierarchy, while justifying it with morals. The worst kind of tyrant is the good guy one. Persuaded to do the good thing, by dominating you for your own good.
Thus, how can you hate authority so much when you're whole life is built upon that kind of logic.

@TotallyAbsurd naaa you miss the point, its not about doing justic with your own morals HIS dad wanted him to not blatantly ignore the worng and standup and speak atleast.
and if you dont want to standup for it its ok too no one will blame you but that's what evil wants too.

Yes, that's the surface level bullshit people often say to justify it, although you speak of right and wrong so there already is a subjective moral code you'd impose on people and if it was really just that you'd be more productive by farting in a jar or something. Respectfully, of course.

But nothing is absolute nor definitive. The slippery slope isn't a fallacy, it's a natural process that always happen for everything. Just look at the recent debacle of usa election leading the so-called tolerant left to have a meltdown and go as far as cutting off friends and family and wishing death upon their fellow citizens, for mere different opinions. Or report hispanic families after spending so much time trying to bring them in.. The paradox, plus the behaviour reminiscent of the dark times of last century. But they're the good guys, of course. 🤡

If the politics don't fit your taste, remember there are all kinds of saying in pretty much all languages akin to "give them an inch, they'll take a mile". Ideas always sway to their extreme, so better have built-in safeguards to prevent that. And this sh** doesn't have any of that.

@TotallyAbsurd   he just meant to not ignore those in need if you can,
Ofc I understand what you mean but his grandfather/dad meant to say to not let evil/bullying harm the innocent yk? He didn't mean to beat the sh** outta that guy lol
@TotallyAbsurd have you ever wondered how much the human an** can expand without tearing. It's about 8 inches in circumference. Some people are predetermined to die is that justified for a omnipotent being to create. Charles Kirk and hitler died the same way, the easy way out.

Are the sin of the forefathers justified to placed on their kin. Would cutting off a close friend be that bad. They shouldn't be mad that someone choose to follow their morals. I have a question are you religious. Mono, or poly or is it a lifestyle.

What makes a human their essence or their mind. Is okay to keep a disabled person alive, they're just wasting resources. There must be a limit on age, those who are old will become a limit to those who are young.

The Unknown Reader this person just sounded kinda rude and not a great person to hang with. Is there a reason to write so much that no one will care about beside u and me. Not a single person had said anything.

Has this person wasted their efforts on a fruitless task. One that won't achieve any meaning.
@BunnyShark Thou has not wasted their efforts , I can hear them , I can see them so be proud of yourself
(Honestly no idea whats going on xD im so sleepy rn and I see this comment lmao)
@The Unknown Reader thx for the appreciation of my efforts can't say the same for the other guy. Only 2 like from anyone. What does it feel to have the wrong opinion. Are likes a good measure of correctness, probably not.

But I can say one thing TotallyAbsurd doesn't live up to their name. That person isn't that Absurd or is it their beliefs that's Absurd. Will they ever tell me the meaning of their name. Stolen valor I can say is true for them.
