@Joshua Calbay Bruuuuuuhhhhh!! I think you are right! It fits the narative! He was a double agent for the demon king! When Ed left the group they seized the opportunity for him to join the group in disguise as the new porter! He then lured them right into the perfect trap and left them there with nothing ny taking their stuff! And the resaon Ed knows his name in this new world. Is because Tia told him his name when Ed was taking her to her final resting place in the past world! Good catch my guy!
