@Kanon Look, I respect your opinion, even if you don't know how to reciprocate. And a little clarification: we're talking about a child, not a baby. Children, imperfect as they may be, are not idiots. They understand 'yes' and 'no', and in this case it's clearly 'no'. I'm going to continue to express myself as I see fit, even if some people obviously have trouble grasping it.

@Livyah What? How have I been disrespectful? I've said I disagree with your take and explained why. I haven't insulted you, nor have I cussed at or belittled you. If you feel personally offended by other people disagreeing with you that's something you need to work on at personal level. I'm in no way saying you're a bad person or lack intelligence based on a single opinion.
Children also have tantrums and blowouts. Speaking from experience, as I work with kids from ages 1-12ish. I've seen 7 year olds melt down from the most minor thing. I told one of my kids to pack up her bike because her mom was coming to pick her up and she absolutely lost it. Full tears and screaming.
That doesn't make her a rotten or spoiled or an idiotic child, that just makes her a child with big emotions and she doesn't know how to process them yet. Most people don't until they are a lot older.
In the end you're saying to a child "If only you listened your father wouldn't have gotten severely injured." Which is what I fully disagree with. But we won't see eye to eye so there's not much more I can say.
