What the heck with the "sir" when it should be "ma'am"

@TheScorgon The title "Sir" carries a certain amount of social weight and is a formal way to acknowledge a person's status as a knight.
@TheScorgon It is essentially a military thing. You will still refer to a female military officer by 'sir' nowadays. But for a knight, it is a title, like Lord or Lady.
