And then way later in the novel she's gonna ask him out but he kind of doesn't care about love at that point. She also kind of fuc*** him over a few times throughout the novel but she isn't the "best girl" anymore.

Erwin is madly in love with him no matter what. She later became a yandere.

The librarian is going to be arranged by the royals to marry him. And since he'd rather die than be forced to do something like that he tried to get out of it by saying he doesn't like girls and he'd rather die than swing "that way", he said he likes s** dolls 💀.
