So I couldn't wait for the new chapters and looked up the novel to continue, and now I have to drop this story which really disappoints me. This is one of the very, very few manhwa that is actually okay, and not filled with the usual things like gross age gaps, toxic romance, controlling and emotionally distant/abusive mls etc etc. (well idk if Ferio will be emotionally distant with Varia, but so far the other husbands we've seen aren't like that)
This story actually expliciting discourages those things. Example, when they called out the hunter and the angel story for being a story about a sexual predator, instead of being a romance like it was portrayed. The society in this story is actually far better than usual stories in that the firstborn is the heir regardless of gender, women aren't discriminated against for being physically strong (it's not seen as unladylike), and it's even encouraged among wives (ex. Avi teaching her kids and Leo swordsmanship)...and like I said before, age gaps are frowned upon and s*xual assault isn't viewed as romantic like in other stories.
The dad(Ferio) is still typical in most ways, but I do like how he, unlike other manhwa dads, doesn't hide his affection for his daughter. A lot of manhwa dads who actually care about their daughter/child, will hide it for some reason, and will be very cold to their daughters, which of course causes misunderstandings, and it's just really dumb.
This story has been refreshing in many ways, so I'm upset that I have to drop it now. Don't ask why since I probably won't come back here lol. The reason will probably seem pretty trivial to most people anyways. Well, enjoy the rest of the story you guys.
