in the novel jeremy steals a sword from one of the guard guys and threatens shuris mom bla bla and they force shuris mom out of the court room. And the church dudes say theres another witness (its the crown prince) so shuri panicks cuz he gave her that necklace and gonna say stupid sh** so she says she wants a duel instead of that and nora shows up and wins.
