If I remember right, Yoohyun is mentally impacted by the spirit and goes a bit crazy. Big bro has a mental convo with the spirit where he is told Yoohyun is feeling lonely. Afterwards, they have an "I love you most" moment.

It's all the effect of having his power doubled and also a little bit because the elemental's influence, the power goes to his head. He knew hyunjae wants to kill all of them and take his brother back then, he want to do the same too now. What's funny is he did it because he's jealous. The are many people who are very close to his older brother now, meanwhile he only have his older brother. This guy is just possessive by nature, he can't take it when his brother give his affection to people other than him
