from what I got to understand, the yanzi that was talking w that crazy guy was a fake, and the one who was on the horse is the real one (yes, he's mad at stone cuz he's waiting for to long for his response). The real Stone is the one who just ran off. I think he ran cuz he was thinking that the codename "Stone" is from another guy (the big statue from the start, but he doesn't know that), he must be afraid that Yanzi doesn't love him, but the "big guy" and decided to ran away. Soooo, everything was that crazy guy's plan... but I think they'll get trought it and be fine in the end (I hope ;)...)
