I think people need to remember she did reincarnate into a world and time period where women are highly dependent on men for survival or even for a decent living, along with that her social class is among nobility famously know for their judgemental attitude and ostracism of all that goes against their social norms.

It is normal in this time to have your daughter engaged to a man who will give them a comfortable life, as such being given the role of mother of three out of nowhere in a financially stricken household no less, not only that but as a woman who is widowed through multiple marriages it would make sense that she would think it  impossible to get married again, rather her thoughts would be about the chance of being approached sincerely in a romantic sense. And since the liklihood of that is far fetched doesn't it make sense that she make her children's well-being priority not only as the character she is but just as a person in her general situation.

We have to remember women can't act freely in this society, relationships, mannerism and prosperity of the household as much as they would like to keep it secret they are judged for all this and approached primarily by those who seek to manipulate, control or gain from even the smallest thing they have to offer.

Sorry I went on a long rant but it's just I kinda like the mother and I just think people who are looking at her a stupid/silly person are the ones who are stupid

Thou I understand because it's this mentally that slows the progress of romance and makes it frustrating it is probably one of the first manhwa's I've read where I can say it's justified.

@Naomi don't worry about the long rant, i enjoyed your point. People also need to learn and understand through different perspectives of others. And it doesn't slow the romance genre down, it isn't frustrating when there is a manhwa that doesn't focus on historical romance and dukes...atleast in my opinion.
