Well, at least this is a mc who isn't bound by moral compass to achieve greater investment (the super magic-powered baby). But to support a cheating spouse ... that is just bad after taste. It would be better to simply be a villain and wait until the wife gives birth, kill the wife, take the baby and raise it by brianwashing it to be a loyal servant.
