@NewHorizon even if there's magic in that world, remember that they are in a rural village and even among that juhwan and his family are isolated from the rest by living in a mountain and the people who use magic are rare and most of the villagers and lizzy and dorothy are illiterate they only speak their language because they learned it from young age they can't teach juhwan the language by writing.. and ofc as I mentioned above about scarcity of magic wielders makes another issue because translation magic will be pretty rare and expensive to use or to learn.

@NewHorizon What's the point of having magic if you have no idea how to use it
