The main villain is the real "g**" of the world. The one that that everyone in this world originally worshiped. That G** lost their power and chose the most devoted person to be the axis, ie the ml. Everytime he dies and regresses, the "g**" gains divinity. At this point the ml is half g**, even if he doesn't want to be.
