exactly, hes really underrated :(
I mean that's his only redeeming trait. He's way too stuck up and fast to manipulate and change opinions. If he trusted wei ying, his literal brother, more and tried to listen and understand before believing whatever was spouted about him they'd have turned out to be exactly how they'd have dreamed. They never would have been separated. Wei Ying wouldn't have needed the help of a literal stranger (sorry lan zhan i know you're way more than that uwu)
