okok so im starting to understand this. so i honestly can't help but feel a mixture of annoyance and sadness. he feels like his own friend (ofc not his fault) has taken his spotlight - to the point where he's become a shadow. he's accepted that which is the worst, because instead of becoming his own person, he just floats into oblivion in his own sadness. although i can definitely tell that he doesn't hate mita, if anything he looks up to him. but there is a sense of anger - one that's always really there. which kinda mixes with his self hatred. and because of his inability to be anything but a nobody, it has made him hate every ounce of himself. taichi hates the fact that others have what he doesn't. a dream. a future. a life. not to mention that mita gets attention, he's perceived. never ignored. very much unlike our mc where his only attention comes from girls who want to date his bestfriend.
