@Pika it was a bit surprising when Eve said that, but I think, for his character at least, why *would* he care? He grew up surrounded by people who want nothing to do with him and only prayed for his end, a kid who was never given any sympathy, or empathy will not (or maybe even ever) understand why they should feel bad for others or feel the need to help others, when no one gave him any of those basic human things when they don't treat him as one anyways. It's honestly sad, for Eve and Gozu, but it's also accurate for them to be that way
