Why people hate ML so much? He has never do physically or mental harassement to FL. She falls in love with him after the marriage. She chose to live frugally, she chose to mirror the queen and she left her life to go on ashes after the divorce. She was not fited to be an empress. But the new Robelia has the force to be one. She has determination, composure, etc. So yes, that is what the Emperor needs so he is falling in love with her. The simple type caracter is just not for him. In his era it was a disvantage to be fragile and even more as the Head of the state.
@Chinita Tf you mean no mental harassment, he treated her like sh** for years??? And even if she wasn't what he wanted out of an empress, she was still objectively not a bad empress, so it was been ludicrous to hold that against he regardless
@Chinita He literally emotional abuse her like he said he never loved her and shove it her relationship with his concubine in the past life. Even now he declined to give her freedom she deserves after being ignored for 3 years. Instead he manipulated her to cooperate with her. He's still a trash in my opinion, he refused to give what makes her happy and he can never give it.
