@day dreamer he isn't a child he is already 16 years old just his body is small and the girl must be 24 so it's a justified age gap

18 and 24 would still be pedophilia due to the difference in where they are in their life/mental growth stage
Large age gaps are major when someone is between 0~25 because of how much you change as a person and grow
an 8 year age gap when your in your 30s onwards may be fine but not when one of the people involved still hasn't fully developed as a human being
like your frontal lobe does not fully develop till about the age of 25
A teenager may be able to create full thought and ya they are a full human being that can take on responsibilities, but the amount of growth/change you go through as a person between your teenage years --> mid twenties is a lot
The life stages you're in are usually, also, drastically different
