I don't know about Jona's matter but I think the contract between the duke and princess Vanessa was something Vanessa, herself, did not disagreed upon and I also don't think her feelings was involved either. For me, I think both of them had something to gain from the contract, the Duke, let's say he wanted the railroad AND sophia which was a good matter for him however Vanessa was simply not at a disadvantage, I think she gained something important to her. I read a spoiler about why our MC has purple eyes. This is simply my assumption but I think the reason why the late king favoured Vanessa was because of his sister(MCs grandmother), after discovering, it made her uncomfortable, just like MC whenever they see Vanessa in her, which later becomes overbearing for her. In conclusion, I think what princess Vanessa wanted was freedom.(Justsharingmythoughtspleasedon'thate😫🙏🙏💓)anyway it may be wrong
