Why do eldritch beings cause madness? Is it their monstrous forms? Their unfathomable presence? Or is it simply the unadulterated truth they speak in total ambivalence?

@BogusCommentReplier It's not really the simple "inability to understand"; I don't understand time, and that doesn't make me mad; madness comes in various ways and methods to induce it, but it's basically when the brain has a slight understanding of a concept but is unable to have the full picture due to not having the "words"/"experience" to piece it together, thus driving the human to obession, because "It's right there, It's on the tip of my tongue, If I could just reach out a bit further" pulling their brains into territory that it cannot handle, like trying to fit a square through a circle hole
