He cut them off kakao page tracked down the developer of bato and started taking heavy legal actions against them kakao has also taken down many sites. this kind of illegal websites are having legal problems.. official publishers are aware of the illegal sites but they only put in resources into getting them taken down when the sites get too popular. It's costly to hire a legal team, so publishers only do so when they realize they're losing out on a lot of money. That's why you're supposed to not talk about sites and keep them on the low, so that they don't gain mainstream traction. bato existed for like many years and worked fine before tiktok and insta people started name dropping out everywhere :)
