The phrase "I can't tell anyone in this world how I know" was untrue. He CAN tell. There was nothing stopping him, aside from his own decision. The translator should have used WON'T, if they were going down that route. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but as I said before they put a lot of emphasis on "using the right words."
