honestly ppl i think he's plenty traumatised.. the father and the son both. idk if my sympathies are w the father bec he's the mc and most of the sotry is in his perspective but i do think he was wronged. Okay, he married her for money, fine. She also used him though. Also, i understand him wanting to priorotise his career over his child. Ppl usually dont have children bec they priorotise their careers more. Esp Fancy careers like that of pianist needs funding and sponsorship here and there so i honestly get why her married her. Him having to shoulder the responsibility of raising a kid all on his own is heavy burden which i understand. When you're young you have dreams and year by year day by day award by award your passion for smth builds up. He's obv fixated on his wife having ruined his career since he couldnt achieve what he initially wanted. Fine he became a uni prof but its still not the dream he's been building brick by brick. Its like an athelete who was injured. So i dont think he deserves any of what is happening to him. He was raped, and ra** is not justified. ALSO pls remmr that their marriage was one of show, and not of love. It doesnt rlly make sense for his wife to punish him when it was all show and behind the scenes. He's twisted and not the best person but INMYOPINION he doesnt deserve this. He's so scarred that he has started finding comfort in this pain. He's become so calculated, he's looking for scheme after scheme when smth happens...
