@Uchiwa susake I think it's a hook up or a prostitute in the previous chapter. There's another guy who looks like the MC, but smaller and more well fed. He's super affectionate with the ML and is more accepting of intimacy. But then again my French isn't great and I can be completely misreading it. It COULD be a forced marriage. In Chapter 2, the ML's brother gets a phone call from someone telling him to stop his older brother from meeting Ha Ian because then SHE will hear about it. The "she" presumably being their mother, so it's possible she's the one who arranged the marriage.
