@Dumplingslag You dont have to like her but what is redemption according to you. Redemption does not always mean suffering. Empress will always be haunted by what she did to her daughter in the past for her greed. That's why she is doing all she can to save her daughter and her future. It is her way of correcting what she did wrong and that's her redemption.
