@nicholsscott17 Japan used to be the biggest offenders of this until their government disolved the great families of japan, though the influence of nepotism is still heavily felt in the japanese workforce. They have a "second gen" mentality, where the truly rich make it through pure grit and japanese spirit and their ancestors simply take advantage of it (you're not respected as the son of a rich man unless you do something that makes you stand out). South Korea still has their great families that have existed for centuries, and the government has attempted to limit their power a few times, yet the individuals who have attempted either mysteriously vanish or marry into one of the great families after being elected into office -_- The people of South Korea have nicknamed it The Republic of Samsung 🤣 (The Republic of Korea is the actual name for South Korea) because their country's wealth is pretty much directly tied to Samsung's stock prices.
