@Mistress Maya This was exactly my thoughts when I read the novel. It's not lk it was a Royal ship they were invested in. Moreover, I also find it wierd that the Baron is liable to pay the loss either. It's not lk he committed fraud and by their nature investments are risks that aren't guaranteed. Unless the Baron agreed to be legally liable for any losses he should not be forced to repay anybody

@The girl whose a nerd it was a bit fraudulent since he promised gains over the top, like those ponzi schemes that promise to multiply bybtens and thousands if you invest 1 dll
